Iain Torrens is Chief Executive Officer of Faro Capital and acts as a director for a number of its subsidiaries and portfolio companies. Iain began his career with PWC and having operated across a number of industries in both public and privately owned business, joined the board of ICAP plc as Group Finance Director in 2010 and Talk Talk Telecom Plc as an executive director and CFO in 2015. Iain joined Faro Capital in 2019.
Sam Aldridge is Chief Financial Officer of Faro Capital and acts as a director for a number of its subsidiaries and portfolio companies. Sam is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Accountants of England and Wales having qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte in 2008. Since then Sam has held various senior roles in industry including Group Head of Tax at ICAP Plc and Group Head of Tax and Treasury at NEX Group plc, during which time he was involved in international corporate restructuring activities and two Class 1 M&A transactions. Sam is a Member of the Institute of Directors and holds a Master of Chemistry degree from the University of Oxford.
Misha Renda is Managing Director of Investments at Faro Capital and leads the firm’s investment and asset management teams. She has nearly 15 years’ experience financing and investing in real estate, consumer financing, and specialty finance companies, as well as investing in portfolios of consumer and commercial loans and other financial products in the UK, US, Europe and Latin America. Misha began her career with JP Morgan and held senior roles at several credit and special situations funds prior to joining Faro. She holds an A.B. in Economics, cum laude, and Certificates in Finance, Spanish Language & Culture and Italian Language & Culture, all from Princeton University.
Dawn Carney is a member of Faro Capital’s investment team and focuses on sourcing new investments in the North of England and Scotland. Dawn has over 20 years’ commercial experience in senior positions across a variety of industries. Her experience spans strategic and financial management, business development, sales and project management. She holds a Business degree from the University of Teesside, a Certificate in Education from the University of Huddersfield and has previously run her own events, retail, and business consultancy businesses.
Claire Baker-Kemp is Legal Counsel at Faro Capital and specialises in commercial real estate including freehold and leasehold acquisitions and disposals, landlord and tenant transactions, development work and real estate finance. Claire qualified as a solicitor in 2001 and has worked in private practice for both national and regional law firms acting for a wide range of clients including blue chip companies, financial institutions, property developers, national housebuilders, shopping centre developers, government departments, local authorities, institutional landlords, a national supermarket chain, the NHS, care home operators and various other companies and organisations. Before joining Faro Capital, Claire was an in-house solicitor for a property development company, acquiring land to build telecommunications infrastructure for mobile network operators such as Vodafone, Telefonica, EE Ltd and H3G and managed an estate of over 300 sites. Claire holds an LLB (Hons) law degree from the University of East Anglia and a diploma in Legal Practice from the College of Law.
Ash Khan is Legal Counsel at Faro Capital assisting the investment and asset management teams with property-related matters. Prior to joining Faro, Ash worked in-house with JP Morgan on a Brexit delivery project before becoming interim General Counsel for an ultra-high net worth family concerning their residential and commercial property portfolio. During his career in private practice, Ash assisted with property purchases, lease management and regearings, and pre-let agreements for sites for largely acquisitive clients such as venture capital firms and developers, across a wide range of sectors including residential development, retail, leisure and industrial property. He holds an LLB from Kings College London and an LLM in International Business Law from University College London.
